Medical robotics research
Surgical haptics and force sensing, rehabilitation robotics for motor recovery after stroke, wearable sensing with on device machine learning, and medical AI for screening under real clinical constraints.
IEEE IROS 2026 Innovation Stage, Pittsburgh

Affordable, clinically credible medical robotics for people whose needs are too often left unmet.
The work spans surgical haptics and force sensing, rehabilitation robotics for motor recovery after partial stroke, wearable inertial sensing with on-device machine learning, and medical AI for screening in settings where compute and specialist time are scarce.
The lab was founded in May 2026 and works between Ile‑Ife and Lagos.
